Nigerian Islamist militant group steps up attack into Cameroon as home of Amadou Ali, the country's vice-president, attacked by militants.

The wife of Cameroon's vice prime minister was kidnapped and at least three people were killed in an attack by Boko Haram militants in the northern town of Kolofata on Sunday, Cameroon officials said.

A local religious leader, or lamido, named Seini Boukar Lamine, who is also the town's mayor, was kidnapped as well, in a separate attack on his home.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Boko Haram, the Nigerian Islamist militant group, has stepped up cross-border attacks into Cameroon in recent weeks as Cameroon has deployed troops to the region, joining international efforts to combat the militants.

"I can confirm that the home of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali in Kolofata came under a savage attack from Boko Haram militants," Issa Tchiroma told Reuters by telephone.

Three suspected rapists  were mobbed resulting in the death of one  today by villagers in India who accused them of raping and hanging a seven-year-old girl.

According to the Hindustan Times,the girl who got missing last night  was discovered hanging from a tree near the village of Kaliabazar, West Bengal, this morning and angry villagers quickly rounded up a local 'Tantrik' holy man/witch doctor and his two friends.The trio were mercilessly beaten. One later died in hospital and the two others are still being treated.

The mob beat up the men and also set fire to a house belonging to Das, who had been seen with the victim yesterday morning. Then they went to police.There is no confirmation she was raped

 According to informed sources, the fourth marriage of Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright, has collapsed. Bukky Wright's marriage to USA based Adewale Onitiri, which was contracted barely three years ago, her fourth, seems to have railroaded and has packed up like a badly arranged pack of cards. The insiders who are her close friends and family members, could not be saved due to tales of infidelity, not helped with the distance between the two. 

     While Bukky lives in Nigeria where she is a big star on screen as well as running other businesses, her husband, whose first wife died of cancer related issues, stays in Trenton, New Jersey, where they met and got married. Another reason adduced as the cause of the break-up of the marriage, according to the friends, has to do with Bukky Wright alleged dalliances with several men both in the movie industry and in the society. 

         The tale bearers say that as she was gallivanting about, rumour mongers were taking the tales to her husband and the final straw that broke the camel's back was when Onitiri visited Nigeria unannounced, only to meet his wife's absence at home. For three days, she was no where to be found and when she came back, she could not give any cogent reasons why she had to leave home without informing her husband. The angry Onitiri was reported to have thrown her out of his Ajah, Lagos State, home and warned her never to step into his house again, indicating that the marriage was over. This would be Bukky Wright's fourth marriage and divorce in the last 20 years.
