After several months of government ground-standing, leading to the death over 13,000 innocent Nigerians in the hands of the heartless Boko Haram terrorists, alexalab.blogspot.com gathered that the Nigerian military and the extremist sect have finally reached an immediate ceasefire.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, also confirmed this development on Friday.
Already, the international media have reported that the Presidency and Boko Haram leadership are in some kind of peace meeting over the release of more than 200 schoolgirls abducted on April 14, 2014.
Boko Haram has finally agreed to released the girls, but some of the commanders must be freed.
As at the time of publishing, the full details of the ceasefire agreement the Federal Government reach with the Boko Haram leaders are still sketchy but Mr. Badeh has ordered all field officers to comply with the agreement, until further notice.
Consequently, if the peace deal is respected, there will be no more killings and bombings in the North East of Nigeria, and hopefully all the issues would be resolved once and for all.
This is what alexalab.blogspot.com have been advocating for. We know that government forces can defeat the Boko Haram members but the process will lead to the death of thousands of innocent people who are our brothers and sisters. So, dialogue remains the best option.
